Exodus

Study of the emergency exodus from buildings. The purpose of the escape system is to ensure that the occupants of the activity can reach a safe place before the fire causes incapacitating conditions for them.

With fire safety engineering and the performance method (Fire Safety Engineering - FSE) it is possible, through the use of calculation software, to model the exodus of occupants from buildings. This approach allows you to make the most of the building's evacuation system, whether it is a new construction or an old one. In the latter cases in particular, the performance method is widely used, as due to their characteristics, dated buildings and especially historic buildings present such architectural criticalities that the use of Fire Safety Engineering finds ample scope for application.
